100% certain. As for the warranty, If you "grey import" in the US they are supplied with an international warranty - I know this to be the case with Contax and Canon equipment. This warranty will then be honoured by the manufacturers. However, if you by a US supplied camera in the US it comes with a US only warranty.

I made some enquiries prior to a trip that included Singapore and though I failed to get a definitive answer but I concluded that I would have to pay about 5% duty and VAT and have a possible warranty problem. Certainly there would be no legal rights against the manufacturer in this country.
