What camera are you shooting with?

With a D1 a 256MB card gives 60 or so NEF files which for me is about the
right amount. Giving a good number of shots, against the risk of lost data.
With a D1x I would want 512MB cards, and with the new higher resoloution
cameras, 1GB Cards.

I would always go for several smaller cards, over a big card. For me it
helps workflow, downloading one card while shooting on another.

Ridata are good, fast and reliable. The only outher cards I would consider
are the Lexar Pro series. With the new Write Accelerated technology, they
look to be the fastest, and they come with a free (I think) data recovery
service in the case of corruption. But at a price!

The choice should be yours.

Also with the new 3 GB cards. not all cameras can 'see' the full 3GB. I
belive at present, the Canon 1Ds is the only camera that can use the 3GB
card.
