Monaco Profiler has several options for target size depending on the
colorspace (for RGB the options are 729 or 1728, CMYK there are four options
the largest being just under 3000) Sample size has no bearing on the quality
of the resulting profile (up to a point).

During the recent Seybold CMS shootout, Monaco Profiler did a respectable
job but wasn't at the top of the list despite the number of patches
measured.
