Hi: I graduated from instamatic-Zenith-pentagon-Nikon-Mamiya C330-Hasselbald-Sinar p.
I have a Novoflex 640mm follow-focus lens that I used for flying birds. I briefly ran a photographic business taking family portraits. I did some part-time commercial work, mostly for my employer, of Agricultural Tractors and mowers (including the November picture in the Farm Contractor 1980 Calendar). I illustrated a few books - ducks and chicken. I did little photography 1980-2000, but I was inspired to start again by the control digital gave me. I have recently bought: three Hasselblad bodies and four lenses, a Polaroid SprintScan 120 and a Sinar p and 9 lenses and 66, 69, and 612 roll film backs. I am waiting for the Canham 617 roll film back. Unless you recommend anything better, I am about to buy a Horseman Digiflex and an Eyelike back. I photographed 150 items of antique ecclesiastical silver recently, in a light tent with 4 1,500 ws Elinchromes. I am acquiring a 10m tripod, and intend to do some speculative landscapes. I expect to do some mixed lighting interiors. I do little formal studio portraiture, and prefer to take portraits with two or three handle grip lights (with diffusers and light boxes) in the subject's home or place of work. I intend to build up portfolios of ecclesiastical architecture, and Cotswold landscapes. I am a qualified and experienced Agricultural and Electronic Engineer, and expect my technical bent to help me in my photography. I am getting tired of (amateur) forums where many of the threads are about techniques for amateurs with little equipment, and any mention of professional digital equipment is ignored or treated with derision.
