Dear Sam,

I expect a very accurate mask already exists (although it will need working
on to make it perfect) in the channels palette.

About 6 weeks ago I posted quite a comprehensive note on how to produce such
a mask, which a few people told me they had saved as they found it so
useful. Maybe somebody might have it, if appropriate? If not, I'm
perfectly happy to go through it again - Martin also describes the process
in his book but, for a really good resource on this topic, check out
'PhotoShop Channel Chops' by David Biedny et al.

Happy New Year to you all - been struggling to keep up with the traffic of
late. Still got 837 ProDigs unread...

Best wishes,

JL
