Bob Croxford Bob, please explain this. It makes no sense, why is it cheaper or better to use hire purchase? Are you talking about leasing in a car sense or in a camera/computer sense. As I understand it (I've never leased a car, but have leased plenty of cameras and computers), the two types of lease are very different. When I lease equipment through PhotoLease (a London based outfit) they always give me the equipment at the end of the lease for a simple one month extra fee. This works perfectly for my needs. If leasing a car, then usually the lease company will take the car back at the end of the lease, therefore hire purchase would be slightly more preferable, depending on the extra cost involved.
