If you press "F" you'll get a grey background, press "F" again and you
get black. Press the <TAB> key to get rid of menus and palettes.

Subject: [PRODIG] Background colour in PS

Hello list ,

I am trying to view images (in PS 7) and simply want to view them on the
black background / black screen view but to be able to access all of
the
layers / image adjustment options at the same time. You get this of
course
when viewing in "normal" screen mode or viewing on the light grey
background but with the black background the options disappear.

Is this a case of knowing key combinations to access levels etc in black
screen background or am I missing something simpler.

Many thanks

Stephen
