I have been using the Mamiya 645 w/ c-most for 11mths. Like you i considered both the COntax and Mamiya.
Cameras: Mamiya... has faster focus (esp in low light) ; better ergonomics; lenses same or better than Contax (newspaper test, and analysis of fact sheets) ; wider rental support if necessary (in NZ) ... DIgital Compatability: Mamiya has digital interface to read out info re: functioning of back In almost every way the Mamiya is a better deal. Some argue that a waist level finder option would be good... but this is personal choice.. At the time i was buying my back, i was also considering the Kodak vs Leaf.. almost everyone i spoke too said the Kodak software was terrible by comparison. Anyway, the Valeo portability kit looks way better than anything else on the market at present (in the back range) Cheers, Adam Adam Custins Productions http://www.custins.com photography + film __________________________________________________________________________ 27 sackville st. studio 27 ponsonby. auckland new zealand t +64-9-378 1027 e [EMAIL PROTECTED] f +64-9-378 1025 URL http://www.custins.com/ m +64-25-908 179 NEW SITE VISIT NOW All work conducted as rights lisenced and using industry standard terms and conditions, copies of which maybe downloaded at http://www.custins.com/biography.html =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
