On a slightly different tack there is another interesting coming use of
inkjets to print electronic circuitry. Its described in the current edition
of WIRED. The article describes how plastics have been developed which
conduct electricity. These can be sprayed from an inkjet to make relatively
large scale circuits.

These plastics can also radiate light when passing a current (the main
purpose of this exercise). While the circuitry is too large to build large
scale integrated circuits etc, it could be used for applications such as
ultra-thin and throwaway displays. ie: you could roll up a display and put
it in your pocket... or heaven forbid you would buy a can of baked beans
which had a moving advert built into the label.

Shades of Minority Report with that one.
