I don't have anything specific in mind but you should be able to develop
something rather quickly in Microsoft Access. If you're not familiar with
Access it probably wouldn't be very difficult to find someone who is,
perhaps at a local university or technical school.

Subject: [PRODIG] Gallery Management software

Hi

I'm after some information for a photographer I work with.

Has anyone come across any software that is more suited to managing
editioned print sales. Something that keeps track of individual
prints i.e. Image XYX, Edition 3/50 etc. Allowing one to see where
that print is currently held - in stock, with ABC gallery, sold to
ABC client etc.

Also, the ability to have the contact details of clients and see what
they have bought over time.

It's something that needs to be database driven - without the expense
of having it custom written by a programmer. The image
archiving/indexing software like ImageAXS, Cumulus etc. are geared
more to cataloguing/archiving images for viewing and working as a
photo library.

They don't quite have the features that I think are required - it
needs to be something that has been developed with galleries in mind
- rather than photographers and photo libraries.

Anyone come across such software. Any replies, much appreciated.

Kind regards
