I've a techie question I've not been able to resolve elsewhere so hope
there's someone on the list who can answer this.

I'm adding a second drive to a Mac (run out of hard drive space) which will
also be good as it'll allow the scratch disk to be on a separate drive to
Photoshop (Margolis et al).

I don't have a free PCI slot to add an IDE card to hook this drive up to but
I'm wondering whether to free one up (would involve replacing/upgrading the
CD drive) as it occurs to me that running the 2 drives as master/slave from
one bus might not be the optimum route. Am I right in thinking that
Photoshop will slow down when its scratch disk has to pause for the
master/slave dialogue to take place so that the optimum scratch config. is:
on-a-separate-drive-on-a-separate-bus?

Many thanks in advance for any help
