For PC there is "Macro Mania", a program that collects & automates keystrokes and mouse movement/clicking across any open programs. I used it to copy the contents of the original Windows 3.11 Cardfile (Two fields only) to the contacts folder of MS Outlook. Of course, to play the macro, the program(s) have to be setup and displaying the same windows as when recorded.
