Others here may say different but I wouldn't bother. In eight years online I haven't seen one that will affect a Mac. I suppose there's a concern about passing one on to a Windows user though, although I've seen the ones I've received and deleted them and, as they can't run on a Mac, that's as far as they get. > Also I have had a number of "Grey Screen Events" where > you are forced to reboot the computer and loose any unsaved work. If you're getting four Kernel Panics in one day, there's a problem with your installation, not with OS X itself; this has to be a problem local to your machine. Are you sure it was a Kernel Panic? Was there a lot of white text on a black screen? You mention 'Grey screen events' but Kernel Panics don't look like that... I'm assuming you've run fsck -y and 'Repair Permissions' and it reports that the 'Disk is OK'? -- best wishes Paul http://www.paulbradforth.com =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
