THank you all who responded. Effectively I was missing something. and I thank Rod Wynne Powell for his suggestion above. It all goes in the Duplicate Layer command ( so It was simple indeed, not to say almost obvious and I did not see it), since the dialog box asks you where you want the source layer to be duplicated and you then choose your target file and this task can be recorded. I recorded the action ( you have to click and record the clicking of the source document as the first task for the action to run) for both adjustment layers in a row, and now I am getting ready to spend a more relaxed saturday, instead of running these 400+ plus files with the same boring activity in manual. Happy weekend and my best wishes to all. THX. Jorge Parra A comment here about renaming files. There are many apps to do this ( including LOTS of freeware, run a search for Finder in Version Tracker) but I strongly suggest to check A Better Finder Rename (Mac). It installs the app somewhere in the machine but then it works as a Contextual Menu so you open the utility with your mouse clicked on a file or folder. You can change, add or remove just about everything you may think of, including, for instance a letter or a number or a space in the middle of the file's name, and of course prefixes and sufixes. It's ideal for large libraries or just folders with many documents that require serial ID's. And it is blazing fast. I renamed this work I am currently doing with it in a split second). The reason most programs don't run this efficiently is IMHO, that it is a FInder's task. I would rather have PS handling the recording of these tasks like dragging of layers, selections, paths etc in a future update than performing a good job at renaming files. I run ABFR before opening my files in iView Media, even though this app handles the renaming and batch renaming. It is just more effectively done in the Finder. All the best.
