Any one with one of the new G4's (Mirrored Doors) will know that the internal fan is extremely noisy. The latest machines have a new type of power supply and have cured the problem apparently.
However those of us with older machines now have a solution to the problem. https://depot.info.apple.com/generic/index.html?lang=en Apple in its greatness (my god, they do listen :-) has released a program, whereby you can swap/exchange your old power supply and fan, for one of the newer quieter types. Fantastic!!!! And they only charge postage, not for the fan (a miracle, by any companies standards). It costs �12.95 in the UK, and I've just ordered mine. They are due to ship from the 10th March.
