Ed wrote about inkjet papers:

I told the man on the Epson stand that the pictures on the PermaJet
stand are much better, and that I will use PermaJet ink and paper when
available for the 2100/2200 in April/May.

There are large numbers of really awful pictures:

The British Journal of Photography stand emphasised their dislike of
digital: all the pictures have grain you could not miss from half way
across the alley.

On the Fuji stand there is a pretty un-sharp picture of an otter taken
with their new 12MP "camera", and I found inspiration in the Joe
Cornish's (autographed) landscape book - shot mostly on 5x4, 6x12, 6x6.
Keith Myers had a dreadfully over-enlarged landscape; when I criticised
his pic of Winchester Abbey he said he was aware of the benefits of
movements, and has attempted to design and market a 617 camera - but I
will go for the Canham.

There is very little serious equipment there (except for a few large
inkjet and conventional printers and systems). Phase One was the only
digiback I saw, and it seems that they have no idea what they are doing,
by comparison with Jenoptik Eyelike, and nobody seemed to know much
about UWA lenses for digital.

I did not look on the Kodak stand, as they have not produced anything
worth using since the Instamatic, or the Aero Ektar.
