The demonstator was getting very embarrased at this point. So he said
the camera he had in his hand was improved again. So We shot a couple at
f8 with the onboard flash, rubbish I know but a good indication og
sharpness/noise etc. Even at 1600asa on the d100 the noise is never like
this.

Well what can I say, no improvement. Even more embarrissed,
demonstrator. I was hoping to be stunned but, I'm sorry to be
dissapointed. Shipping in 2 weeks was mentioned, but from where I am
standing, they have a lot of work to do. >>

Dear Ian

I saw the 14n on the Monday. Apparently there had been some problems on the
Sunday which could not be solved until the Monday. Kodak were very open and
we were shown the Sunday results.

The rather crude demonstration I saw produced good results. Even under the
far from natural light of the exhibition hall the software was coping with
colour corrections well. The pictures on the screen were clean and showed no
noise. Martin Wood had less than ideal conditions to demonstrate the camera.
Observers with far more knowledge than I were clearly very impressed.

Despite what others have said I found the camera to be easy to hold with a
natural viewfinder unlike the Fuji.

The only problem will be supply. If Fuji are selling 400 per month with 300
new orders a month how will Kodak's 400 per month allocation to the UK go?

Also every other manufacturer I spoke to apart from Nikon has a true world
wide guarantee but Kodak's is selective on where you by the camera.
