Forgive me if this has been mentioned, but one or two people might be in a similar position to me regarding this. As I told UK Adobe Tech Support (0131 451 6888) this morning, my PS machine is a Mac G4 dedicated to PS, without even a modem: could I download Camera Raw onto my PC, burn it to CD, and load to the Mac? They referred me to Adobe Download Support (0208 358 6661), who explained the procedure: one has to purchase via downloadcentre.adobe.com, get a reference number, then call the 0208 number, upon which they can email the plug-in in Stuffit format (resistant to corruption by a PC download, apparently) for transfer to a Mac.
I might do this, though since I learned today from Adobe that they'll do a no-charge "cross platform upgrade" of PS, this might be the moment when I say to hell with spending hours of valuable time frigging about with this alien system, let's just revert to Windows and save a lot of hassle. As I said here a couple of weeks ago, my new Toshiba laptop beats the pants off my Mac G4 for speed anyway...
Hope this info is of some use. Regards, Tony H
