With the 1290 and 1160 on my server I have 2 print queues for each, one
using the Epson driver, and one using gimp print. The Epson one has access
to the utilities (and installs the print utility app), while the other one
has all the gimp print features. There is nothing to be lost by keeping
both, you can just choose the appropriate one when you want to clean, from
the print centre.
Even when selecting the epson driver the configure icon is greyed out and I've just reinstalled the driver but still no joy.
Configure has been unavailable since installing gimp. Any ideas?
