Hi Jay,

Depending on your exact issue, you may not need to resort to a drill. We
find the simple method noted can give you the leverage required to give
the velcro something to push/ pull against. There are a couple of other
suggestions for fixing the issue that do not involve permanent
modifications to the printer.

Failing that, don't drill the support bar but either side of it, then
tie the bar down with string or a cable-tie type thing.
