Dear Ian, first of all ensure that the job they want doing is in 
Birmingham, W.Midlands - not Birmingham, Alabama... No, I'm not being 
entirely facetious, something similar happened to me once, not to mention a 
letter I sent to someone in Washington (Co. Durham) being delayed several 
weeks by being misdirected via Washington DC.
