Thanks to everyone who responded. I've had some test prints done at another local lab who used my RGB files with their profile. These prints were not giclees but done on a Durst Epsilon. The colour match was pretty good.
I've abandoned the earlier giclee printer and found another who has told me that my RGB files, with their profile, is what's wanted (as was pointed out by prodig replies). I'll be sending them some files this week. He's saying that around 400 to 500 ppi is about right. Is there any advantage in going higher than 300ppi? He's using a 6 colour Epson 7500. Ta again for the CMYK and Sharpening advice, I've read the various websites mentioned and learned a lot.
