What about the Secol system? They do a special box and chemically inert polyester pockets which are meant to be "safe" for archival uses. I have to say that it sounds and looks good. I saw the system at the recent Focus and I am very tempted to try it. What I particularly like is that each of the disk pockets has an extra 4 cm wide tab with a label pocket on the top. When these are in the box they can be easily flicked through without disturbing the CDs. No comment when it comes to moisture. Keep them dry and dark just like film is probably the best way. A bit expensive perhaps but very good at saving space!
