Our Graphics wing use Corel Knockout, which apparently is now v2.0 and works as a plug-in under Photoshop. I've used v1.5 for some projects but I don't do a lot of masking. The interface takes little getting used to, but once you get the grasp it does a pretty fair job on hair, clouds, etc....I'd recommend a Google search for reviews.

Note: Corel claims to offer a trial version in the purchase info but it isn't listed in the downloads. Too bad. At $329(US) it is definitely try before you buy software. And a RAMpig. It really is a RAMpig.
