Sounds very like a corrupted file. I hope you have a good earlier version saved. The solution was mentioned on the Stockphoto list recently. As I remember you will need to create a new file with uncorrupted hidden tags. Do this by creating a new file of exactly the same dimensions and move the newest good version of the old file into it. Tags which describe the nature of the TIFF can become corrupt long before there is clear visual evidence like weird pixels. For this reason it is a good idea to go through the new file and move routine for any suspect file.
Hope this helps.

Hi all,
Started having problems today with two identical G4 1.2GHz dual's running
OSX 10.2.6 and PS 7.01.
Working on pretty big file it totally randomly quit, without any warning or
message appearing. Happened twice today on each machine independently.
Everything just suddenly vanished!
When re-opened, one file has weird pixels screwed up through a big part of
picture...
Anyone had similar experiences? Is it something to do with hard drive maybe?
Cheers
