Subject: Digital Wallet

I have two 20g Wallets, use them for aerial photography, download pics while
flying and never had a problem with either one.

However, the carry-connect dock on the first unit had to be replaced, it was
flaky and wouldn't stay connected. They sent me a replacement immediately.
The second unit seems to have a slight glitch in the battery connection
somewhere, so I make sure it's powered and stable before committing to a
download, because sometimes it loses electrical connection if it's jostled
or bumped.

I just bought a 60g Xdrive from powerinnumbers in Australia, but haven't
used it much except to test it out. Powerinnumbers is a great place to buy,
they are speedy with shipping. I have used Ridata 512mb compact flash cards
for 2 years with no problems.

I wouldn't recommend buying a Digital Wallet, I have been monitoring a
newsgroup [EMAIL PROTECTED] and there are lots of gripes and
problems. Of course, those without problems are usually not reporting in, so
it might be heavily weighted on the griping side.

I would try Nixvue's portable drive with the viewing screen if I were in the
market for another drive.
