I have approx 10k jpegs saved to an external hard drive. I have to re-number them from 1.jpg to xy1e.jpg etc. Problem is, they are saved in batches of 25 images per folder and do not run from 1 to 25 in folder one and then 26 to 50 in folder two etc etc. They were scanned from trans that were allready numbered and so as I scanned I gave them the original trans number. I have spent the last few days sitting in front of my Mac re-numbering each jpeg and have got no where. I have tried "Fotostation" and sure enough it will take image 9657.jpg and turn it into xy9657e.jpg but then it will re-number every other image in that folder in an ascending order which is no good because the next jpg in the folder might be 8.jpg and I don't want it to become xy9658e.jpg I want I to be xy8e.jpg
