List

I am rephrasing and re-posting this question as I am really looking for some
guidance in a totally new area for me.

I am looking to publish a library of images on line and I know that several
list members have their own servers, using either especially written
software or off the self solutions and others rent space either with
specialist companies or their normal ISP's. To those who are doing this what
have been the pros and cons of any of the options.

Cost, Ease of use, problems etc.

Any help would be gratefully received as this is an area I know nothing
about and obviously the wrong decision would be costly to both business
reputation and my wallet!

Cheers of any help
