Shooting 4 or more identical exposures and then to average them out - will
increase dynamic range and reduces noise - considerably. Bracketing of
exposures coupled with Shop Action scripting - means awesome good scans out
of anything chucked at it.

Leave any in-camera sharpening - off. If you shoot JPEG's - doesn't matter
about any artifacts as they disappear in the averaging process. After
algorithmic averaging they sharpen up unbelievably well in the Shop.

Believe me, jig up any digi-cam, and you have a cracking scanner.
