it's true.

profiling a powerbook WELL will usually make a big difference to
overall accuracy. The consistency of a profiled screen makes it a lot
easier to learn the difference between screen ane print, or, rather,
profiled screen and profiled print.

It's not easy to use a PB LCD as final arbiter, but it's a lot easier
to make good judgements with a propery calibrated and profiled PB LCD.

I'd say, try basICColor Display with a good device, maybe the
basICColor Squid or eyeOne Monitor for LCD screens?

I profiled a 12 inch powerbook yesterday with basICColor Display /
Squid, the result was very good indeed. Very close to Cinema Display in
most colours. I think it just missed a bit of gamut.
