I would have thought that if it had been zapped it would not just affect
IE/Outlook. Has the G4 had a knock? It could be a virus.

I'm a PC man, but try uninstalling and reinstalling the various bits, but
make sure you save your favourites and shortcuts as well as your address
book and any important mails first.

Hope this helps

Dear All,
I've just come back from a trip abroad. I took my G4 laptop with me as hand
luggage. I took a few internal flights all of which involved it being fed
through an x-ray machine as hand luggage.

Now, on return, I can send emails but when I try to receive them the
computer freezes. Also I get system error when on Internet Explorer.
I know it's slightly off topic but could x-rays affect things?
Might be something entirely different as Word eg still works.
Any ideas?

Simon Buckley
