Dear Michael,
When I got my first system, I went to the expense of a great big tablet.
I could never find proper desk space for it and only ever used a corner of
it anyway. Then I discovered the Wacom Graphire, a small pad complete with
stylus and mouse for about 60 squids, absolutely brilliant :)
I now have one of these on every computer, even the laptop (trackpads are
hell aren't they?) and only ever use the stylus.
Unless you are 'illustrating' and need to use large brushstrokes, you don't
need a large tablet IMHO.
HTH
Cheers,
Mark.
