Hi again, I've been lurking for a couple of weeks now, hoping this point would come up (and I apologise if this has been covered before on the list) but.. Is there an industry standard white point for monitors? I'm running a G4, LaCie 19" Blue IV monitor & Epson 1290s and am going through the whole process of calibration.. Martin's PS7 book is a great help, but he mentions choosing 6505k as a white point, saying that 5000k would 'look rather dull and have a slightly yellow cast'. Fair point, but to my eyes 6505k also looks dull and yellow..
