> Tall tripods can be a substitute for shift - but they are not very cost > effective at 5,000 - 15,000
Could you point me in the direction of a web site that shows these wonderfully expensive tripods? I have a 10m Manfrotto Agnoscope, which will support 10kg of Large Format camera: they cost 11k, but are no longer made. Luksa http://www.luksa.com/ Make a comparatively cheap and horrible alternative for $18,000 - (that is for the 70foot model), but it will not take LF equipment (OK for digital or MF). I corresponded with them, and concluded that their gear was not not good enough for me, and then found the Agnoscope for 4,000! It seems that their CCTV viewfinder system is for amateur cameras without removable pentaprisms, as the CCTV camera looks through the eyepiece of the viewing system and not directly at the ground glass. They make a "starter" system for about 5,000. =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
