Not a good idea, I would have thought. Using OS9 to remove parts of OSX.
Could lead you into trouble.

A better solution, I would imagine, would be to set up a new user, with
admin privileges and sort things out from there. If worst comes to worst,
re-install OSX using the option to archive old users. Then recover the old
user that you require.
