Whereas I thought I might simply let this topic cool down, Paul Tansley
has asked me to squelch it once and for all ... and I suppose I agree it is
time.

I'm offering no defence of Paul Tansley's original post which began this
episode. However, having returned from a vacation and subscribed again, I
was not able to "remind" Paul of guidelines regarding "respect of others"
until sometime later and after Paul Bradford decided to take it upon himself
to remind Paul T. publically. In defence of Paul T, he has been more than
apologetic, and even sympathetic as to the final outcome.

The gist of this entire thread has to do with "publically" and "on list".
When is it suitable to talk about someone else "publically"? Regardless of
it being kudos or vitriol, the Prodig list is not appropriate or intended
for this type of exchange. It is personal, hurtful, even ignorant of facts
... not to mention a non-topic for digital imagery and reproduction.

Regarding Paul T being any reason Paul B left should be considered
speculative, and again not a topic ... but, Paul T has provided me with part
of an exchange he had with Paul B (below my sig).

Regarding posts of late about Paul B's departure, ... he was not asked
specifically to un-subscribe. However, he was not at all sorry about
reprimanding Paul T publically, and un-subscribed himself. Please do not
reply on-list to this message ... however, do feel free to e-mail me. Feel
free also to e-mail either Paul to express your opinion. In fact, always
feel free to e-mail anyone direct regarding your feelings, even to invite a
return. My own opinion in this matter is about treating everyone with the
respect he (she) deserves, and I hope you'll be just as respectful in direct
correspondence.

... 'nuf' said ... end of thread :o)

thank you for being responsible list subscribers :o)

There were. You were not the reason I left. I hear from friends who have
forwarded mails to me that you're getting some stick over my leaving.
Well, you can quote this mail on the list if it helps...
