Dear List,
As a result of searching the net for businesses that could provide me with
first rate drum scans, I contacted Richard Kenward. Through Richard I
learned of the Prodig email forum, so many thanks for that Richard.
My business, Landscapes For Every Mood Ltd, of which I am the sole
director, and is a 'one man' business, provides both a photography and
picture framing service, an unusual combination I think. My business is
located in the remote and stunningly beautiful north-west Scottish
Highlands, and started life back in 1995. Apart from the usual range of
commercial photography services, I also sell my landscapes in mounted and
framed form via various outlets as well as prints via my website.
I still shoot on film, but subsequently scan film with my Coolscan 8000,
and edit with Photoshop. I moved into digital around three years ago with
some trepidation. I thought to begin with that it was a huge learning curve,
and I would never make it!
Now I couldn't live without digital, it has given me so much freedom to
create my images, but I still feel am a rookie with lots to learn, hence my
interest in the Prodig email forum. I have already followed some of the
discussions in the archive and found them helpful, and look forward to
future discussions and contributing to them.
