System requirements No OS9??
Nope, OS 9 is dead as far as future releases of Adobe CS products are concerned, and so are the older versions of Windows. This will either discourage some users from upgrading to Photoshop CS or encourage others to upgrade to Mac OS X!
Windows needs an internet connection to activate?
Quick Question
re camera raw:
could someone please explain why you have to have an interface like this and have to then "aquire" the file into PS..seems a little long winded...why cant they integrate it into the main ps window with tool pallets for the functions?
also would have preferred a curve rather than those highlight shadow contrast sliders...still maybe well get used to them.
A lot of work has been done with both Camera Raw and the File Browser. If I shoot digitally on a fashion shoot, I will open the Camera Raw dialog once to tweak the settings (you have extra controls for lens vignetting, chromatic aberrations and noise control) as well as all the other settings. Set these right for one picture and then apply these to all the other pictures shot using the same setup. This means that you can save time and batch process everything accordingly.
The Camera Raw intercept is therefore useful, because you can automatically apply pre-processing to digital captures to refine the imported images in ways that you can't do in Photoshop.
