William, I assume you are considering using the Windows version of C1 as the Mac version lacks support for the 10D - though they hope to have in early November ?. The 10D is a USB1.1 device so the transfer speeds are slower tan USB 2. As for cable lengths, you can get USB repeaters that work quite well.
