See what you mean, I would choose the nearest preset and have a go. If not, then try other film types - you will be surprised what comes up as a useable canned film profile. Try using a different colour balance setting. Set the white-point to zero on the preview to see what is going on in the top end. It takes a bit of getting used to, but Vuescan can really deliver excellent scans from RAW files for further Photoshop post production. The trick is to interrogate the Preview with different settings.
