Thanks, I should have mentioned that too. I had one with me, but the light in the hall varied that much (slightly different fluorescent tubes) that I got an initial adjustment from a sheet of plain paper on a notice board. The rest was done by eye. The lighting was really bad - I'm not surprised their previous attempts with the standard 'small silver box' type of digital camera had failed.
