Dear List,

I'm running an 1160 with a CIS system - I tried to run a clean cycle today with a Lyson Cleaning cart to unblock a couple of yellow ink nozzles so I obviously had to remove both the CIS carts. The printer doesn't seem to like this!

As the black was fine I thought running the colour only would be ok - I've replaced the sponge squares which fool the printer with the CIS and tried a cleaning cycle. I've been turning it on and off for the last hour - sometimes the printer utility is telling me there is a general printer fault, sometimes it says there is no black ink but currently the warning lights for both black and colour inks come on along with flashing paper feed and power lights.

Can the printer run with just one cleaning cart? And can it run if the system has been set up for a CIS? And can a new cleaning cart be taken out and reused at a later date? Reverting to windowlene may be the best way as I was hoping to print tonight!

Thanks

Paul Debois
