I recently asked list members whether they had experienced similar problems
to my own regarding my Flextight Photo scanner and I would like to thank all
those who responded with their helpful comments.

I am pleased to report that the response I have received from the Studio
Workshop in London, who carry out repair work for the UK distributors of
Imacon products, has been very good. I delivered the scanner to them
personally and stood by while their technician / repairer dismantled the
scanner and identified the faulty component ( a stiff roller which prevented
the gear belt from turning). Within 90 minutes the scanner was reassembled
and functioning again.

I have to say that apart from this problem, which has occurred twice, I am
very happy with my Flextight and I hope those of you who have experienced
similar problems have an equally satisfactory outcome.
