Anyone who is using or who has tried and been disappointed with the Mac version of Capture One may be interested to know that a very significant update will be posted late this afternoon.
The update. version 1.2 , is free to registered users and will demo for 30 days even if you have tried a previous version. Phase One have been aware of the performance issues on the Mac and have made great efforts. Performance is now much improved over the previous version with full support for Panther, OS 10.3. Among the features new to 1.2 are many functions that were previously only on the PC, including 'Export previews,' a powerful means of exporting high quality, colour managed preview images to a folder or professional looking web pages. Dual screens are now fully supported, with a separate file browser and there is a moir plug in for Photoshop. Images may be tagged for improved editing (when you have the AD looking over your shoulder) and a dual image view allows two files to be compared side by side. Noise reduction can now be applied on a per image basis rather than globally and a can be embedded in output images As with previous versions, real-time image correction, unlimited batch processing in the background and simple, effective colour management make for a fast and powerful processing workflow. C1 gives the best possible output from your DSLR with no false colours in the shadows. Currently all Canon models are supported on the Mac with Nikon support and more coming very shortly. http://www.c1dslr.com/ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Nick Wilcox-Brown, A member of the Association of Photographers =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
