Phil, When I was using my dye-based Epson 7000, the prints would feel 'tacky' for several days afterwards, especially where the ink was dense (eg - black backgrounds). It was not so much sticky as rough to touch and, even after several days, this never completely went away. I know of photographers using albums with tissue interleaving that could not use the output because the image 'bled' into the leaves! Take a look at the pigment based 7600. Dry as it comes out of the machine, you can even put the print under runnning water half an hour later and it won't run! YES we really have tried that - sad huh : ) Jonathan Coleman Cavendish Studios =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
