PowerBooks can hold a larger quantity of RAM and they can be used with an external monitor as a second display. They also have a card slot which is handy for reading camera memory cards without carrying around a separate card reader. To me, these feature alone make the PowerBook far more attractive for digital photography use over iBooks.Actually Bob on the first generation 12inch powerbook there is no card reader though you can use it as a second monitor, but it becomes your primary computer because of the way you have to connect it. You are therefore limited to the capability of your laptop. But it has one overiding advantage compared to the bigger ones - it fits into a BMW motorcycle pannier! Personally I think a laptop for DSLR work needs filling with RAM and it's still not enough when you do what I said I would never do which is edit, manipulate and burn to CD while the client stands over your shoulder...which is what I did tonight:-) Doh!
Best wishes. Patrick.
