burn the whole folder (including the iView catalogue) to a CD for safe keeping.
Having bought an iPod, I've found it much faster to use that as a portable backup HD than burning, labelling and not losing myriad CDs. The CDs were always in the middle of being burned when I needed to pick up the laptop and move to the next location.
The files download from laptop to iPod in seconds and when I get back to my desktop, gigabytes of files transfer extremely fast. And it's quite good at playing music, too.
