Powerbooks can use an extra monitor in either mirrored or separate modes. iBooks use a second display only in mirrored mode (same info and res on both screens) which is useful for AV presentations. If I understand correctly, Simon is asking if the iBook can be hooked to another computer and have the iBook screen serve as a second monitor for the main computer. That isn't possible. The laptop screen can only by driven by the laptop computer itself. It can't be used as a stand alone display.
