Dear Shangara and Graeme-
I have got the Fuji S7000 since a couple of weeks:
- it takes CF/ microdrives and Fuji's xD cards and you can even put two of
the three at the same time into the camera and use them.
- there are lots of things to say about it but check out
http://www.digitalcamera-hq.com/fuji-finepix-s7000-reviews.html

I had the Fuji 6900 before as a compact digital and must say the 7000 needs
some adjusting:
- the noise levels are there- one way around it is to shot in RAW and turn
the sharpening in camera to soft
- you need to convert RAW files in the supplied software- PS CS can't open
them
- colours are excellent
- what they say: yoou can use it with studio flash up to 1/1000 speed is
wrong- any speed is possible (I shot in the studio with 1/3000 without any
problem
- ISO min. is actually 200 if you don't shot in P (than it varies between
160 and 800)
- ISO 800 nur in 3mb mode!
I like the camera but can't say that I am over the moon- on one hand it
gives you huge filesizes and the colours are great but I am not yet sure for
what I will use it and trust it for. I have just scanned a colour negativ
with the Minolta 5400 and t h a t is pure quality (at least for me) and a
huge filesize compared to this the images I have shot with the S7000...
err... I don't really know.
With the Fuji 6900 I did not expect very much but was positively surprised
with the S7000 I expected much more than with the 6900 and am not sure
whether I get it.
So good luck to you!
Merry Christmas
