I think he needs to see an Apple Cinema Display [ACD] calibrated and
profiled with basICColor Display. And, in multi screen environment,
preferably a spectrophotometer like eyeOne Monitor or Photo. It's
totally feasible to read the characteristics of the calibraed Artisan
and ask the bICC SW to make the ACD similar.

I think an ACD with basICColor Display has the potential to look like
paper, most calibrations are too bright / contasty / lightbox like.
